It is a common question we often get, as the cost of energy always seem to be increasing, we need to ensure and be comfortable that your energy budget does not increase dramatically.
As with all hot tubs, there is a cost involved to run. However, we have added lots of clever little tricks to our hot tubs to keep running costs down. This includes a dedicated circulation pump that runs a lower amperage than a main jet pump on low speed, 100mm insulated top cover, insulated cabinet and insulated floor and acrylic shell.
In March we tested a family sized hot tub (around 900 litres) from March to May for 12 weeks in a customer garden, average costs were less than £8.00 per week with average use of 3 times a week and with the average cost to fill a hot tub of around £3.50, making your annual cost (excluding maintenance and chemicals) of around £ 35.00 per month, if you were to have it on all year round.
Like most of us however, their will be times and gaps in the use of the hot tub, we recommend that if the tub is going to be left unattended for more than 10-14 days, it would be better to drain the tub for when you return.
So, in relative terms, it’s a similar cost to having a basic gym membership, but one that the whole family can enjoy and also has health benefits.
